GRAND CHUTE, Wisc.– The community first champion Center, one of the newest, premium sports tourism venues in the nation, has hired Adam Ligocki as a sports and tournament Coordinator rounding out the full-time staff for the facility.
Previously, Ligocki served as the Athletic
Director and Head Men’s Basketball instructor at UW-Waukesha. While at
UW-Waukesha, Adam was charged with leading all aspects of the Cougar Athletic
Department, including fundraising, scheduling, event supervision, and community
relations. He also worked as an IAS
Professor on campus, supplying students a perspective to the sports industry by
leading a course called the “Theory of Coaching”.
Ligocki is a graduate of Carroll University
with a Bachelor of science degree in Mathematics. While at Carroll, Ligocki
suited up for the Pioneers basketball team. As a member of the team, Camiseta Bologna FC 1909 the
Pioneers made their first two NCAA division III tournament appearances in
Carroll history. For his efforts, he was named team captain as a senior
during the 2006-2007 season. along with his bachelor’s degree, Ligocki also
received his master’s Camiseta SC Braga degree in sport administration from UW-La Crosse in 2011.
Opening in November, The community First
Champion center is a 164,000 square foot indoor sports facility with a
year-round ice rink with seating for up to 1,000, fieldhouse with four
basketball courts or eight Camiseta Selección de fútbol de Países Bajos volleyball courts and a seasonal arena that can be
an ice rink or four basketball or six volleyball courts. The facility will host
numerous hard-court and ice-based events every year as well as community-based
leagues, open recreational time, rentals, camps, and clinics. The center will
position Fox Cities as a national competitor in the youth and amateur sports
marketplace.
